I balance the horse to the best of my ability and knowledge regardless of the horse's use. I am not married to any one trimming style, as I believe every horse is different in it's needs and use. I have studied as many different shoeing and trimming methods as I can find. I prefer to leave a hoof bare, as any good farrier would, but believe shoes are necessary if wear exceeds growth, the hoof requires support or protection, the horse needs traction, or if a shoe is needed for therapeutic reasons. I enjoy working on therapeutic cases and helping lame horses travel and feel their best, I guess you could call that my specialty. I work on all breeds, with many riding disciplines. I will not cheat the horses balance or health to make the horse travel differently for specialized disciplines.

This is how the team is supposed to work. In the grey jacket is Dr. Wickliffe, DVM, I am in blue, the tall girl was working with me, the trainer is holding the horse. Now that is teamwork on this laminitis case.
I currently have a full book, and do not take on new clients regularly. I will consider veterinarian referrals for specific problems.
