Copper, the day he came in.

Copper, May 2010

Copper, May 2010.
Copper is a 15-20 year old 15.3H buckskin gelding. According
to his previous owners he was used as a trail horse. We have not been
able to
ride him as of yet. He is current on vaccines and farrier. He loads
great. He
is a little head shy but his foster home is working on this.
UPDATE 08-09-10 - Copper is shy and thinks someone is going to strike him, but he learns quickly and is very responsive. He had his second trimming today. He simply needs a gentle hand and some patience.
“Fish” is a seven year old sorrel pony. “Fish”
was removed from the same location as a number of others. Although “Fish” is a bit
apprehensive he is a very sweet guy. He does have a little food aggression
issue, but he is getting better.

Ollie on arrival.

Ollie May 2010
“Ollie” is a 15 hand sorrel quarter horse type.
He is in his late teens-early 20’s. When “Olie” was seized he
was 250 lbs under weight. He was weak, and we were not sure if he was going to
make it. He has now been in foster care for about two months and he has been
putting weight on at a steady pace. We have not ridden “Olie” as he
still needs to put weight on, but based off of his disposition I think he will
be a great calm ride.
Star is an 11 year old registered bay appendix quarter horse mare. Star has excellent ground manners, a great disposition and good blood lines. According to her previous owner she is a very solid, dependable horses under saddle. We have ridden her a number of times and she did great! She is very supple and appears to have had a lot of training. Her hooves are in the process of recovering from some severe toe cracks, and diligence in hoof care is required. (Follow her story on the Hoof Blog) She is current on deworming, teeth, and farrier.
24
YEAR OLD BAY ARABIAN MARE NAMED “CECE”. “Cece”
has been in foster care for over a year. When the county seized her she was 250
lbs under weight, infested with lice, and in poor condition. “Cece” is now in
good health, loves attention, and very quiet. She would be a great companion
for a non-bullying horse. She does have heaves, but she is a very easy keeper.
“CeCe” is current on vaccinations, worming, and farrier care Contact Beth Keane @ 360-421-4987
