 Tips and Tricks

 - Trouble knocking those chestnuts off?  Soften them up first with something like vasaline. - Shane

 - Make your cross ties and trailer ties safe, have a breakaway point.  A small loop of baling twine between the snap and anchor point will make a dangerous situation much safer. - Shane

 - Stripping stalls is pretty easy with a snow shovel. - From Rose

 - Clean up those muddy feet with your long handled kitchen scrub brush. - From Rose

 - Got a stallion who's nose is working overtime with those spring mares?  Try a bit of Vicks on his nostrils, take those pheremones away and he'll even out.

- Does your horse gobble his grain or pellets too fast?  Put a few fist size round rocks in the feed pan.  Make them work for it a bit.

- Getting ready for a show and your horse has a huge green spot?  A baby wipe will take the green away. - from Meredith Westman Equine

- Old clipper blades are great for pulling manes. -

- Squeaky saddle?  Turn the saddle upside down and sprinkle a bit of baby powder under the stirrup leathers and skirt. -
